Present: Fred Gallup Chairman, William Roach Vice Chairman, Charlotte Brown, Stephen White, Donna Nashawaty, Town Manager
Also Present: Mike Durfor, Bo Quackenbos, Ron Wyman, Dick Dulude and Susan Mills.
Chairman Gallup opened the meeting at 5:30PM
Chairman Gallup thought if no one objected that the 2 Boards could start the discussion in public session and if it got to the point of negotiations, the Boards would go into a non-public session, which both Boards agreed upon. After some discussion, Selectman Brown wondered if the Board was being premature in trying to guess what the Riverway might be doing in the future with the property. She asked what the intention of the Riverway was in regards to the property or if the Boards should go into non public to discuss. The Riverway agreed the Boards should go into non public..
6:00PM-A motion was made by Selectman Brown to go into non public session under RSA 91-A:3, II (d) consideration of the acquisition, sale or lease of real or personal property which, if discussed in public, would likely benefit a party or parties whose interests are adverse to those of the general community and invited the Executive Board of the Riverway. The motion was seconded by Selectman White and roll call vote approved unanimous.
The 2 Boards had a discussion in regards to the consideration of the acquisition, sale or lease of real or personal property, the decision of the Boards was that each entity needed to go back discuss it among each board separately and then come back for another meeting at a later date.
6:31PM-The Board returned from non public session.
The consensus of the Board was that there is no “sense of urgency” in making a decision and would like to schedule a work session involving the Old Town Hall to get public comments, regarding purchasing this property. Donna Nashawaty will schedule the meeting for Monday, November 15th.
